| We welcome you to
our website and to our parish family. It is our hope that this
website, its information and list of contacts will help to create
this atmosphere of welcome for which Holy Family is well known.
Founded in 1909, Holy Family parish has always been a welcoming
community - welcoming Italian immigrants and more recently Filipino
immigrants and people of many different backgrounds. As the ninth
pastor of this wonderful faith community, I pledge along with
our staff to build on the spirit and traditions of the past, to
enhance the unique traditions and ethnic customs of our parish
as to share their richness with all who enter our doors.
Holy Family works very hard to live out the Mission Statement:
"Holy Family Roman Catholic Church is a Eucharistic Community
committed to celebrate the Life and Spirit of Jesus by our words
and actions. With the Archdiocese of Newark, we are striving to
build a loving, caring and Evangelizing Church." The Archdiocese
of Newark celebrates 150 years, which consists of Essex, Union,
Hudson and Bergen Counties. Archbishop John Joseph Myers is the
head of the Archdiocese. Over the next several years, our parish
will prepare for the 100 years of its existence. As you read the
history of the parish you will become more aware that this is
the third building that now accommodates some twelve hundred people.
You are most welcomed to come and visit us on any weekend. Just
introduce yourself to one of the priests or deacons. If you decide
to join the parish you may fill out a registration form and/or
census card that recognizes you as a parishioner.
May God continue to bless all of you. Sincerely, Rev. Msgr. Paul
L. Bochicchio,
Pastor
